Rupesh Patel is the visionary behind Zenique Hotels. He uses his skill set to shape a hospitality community that is innovative, cutting edge, and unique. Zenique’s most defining feature of placing PEOPLE above profits is a result of Patel’s desire to create a company that is naturally joyful, transparent and fun. His company thrives on customs that build respectful and warm relationships. They reflect the love and generosity of his father, Raman Patel. At a young age, his father began teaching Rupesh the family business, inviting him to discover more and more as he grew. Through this, Rupesh developed the pillars of dedication, focus, and hard work on which his perseverance is postured.
His father always demonstrated to him that relationships hold far more value than any dollar amount.
Rupesh was encouraged to pursue his goals in the face of doubt and uncertainty. His father instilled this attitude by letting him make mistakes, so he would have to figure it out on his own with a flexible mind and patient heart. Like anyone, he encountered disappointments and intimidating barriers, but navigating life’s trials with an open mind rooted his confidence in something beyond outcomes.

Patel studied at San Diego State University, where he earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Public Administration and City Planning. At SDSU, he aligned the program’s outline to his research goals. He learned about city policies surrounding commercial development and learned how to cooperate with political entities to ensure public resources are used to benefit the whole community. When he wasn’t studying, Patel could be found courtside cheering on friends and sharing in post-game pub salutations. Many of his friends went on to play professionally. Those relationships endure to this day.
In his current capacity as President and Chief Operating Officer, Rupesh is the trusted overseer of the company’s operations, acquisitions and developments. As a skilled analyst, his comprehensive understanding of hotel data allows him to hone in on opportunities of transformation. Transforming scarcity into abundance, crisis to comfort, grimace to grin.
He wants Zenique to continue expanding, but what sets its pace is not the acquisition of wealth. He believes that the culture of family is nourished by attending to that which brings joy. Investing the time and care into relationships helps foster that enjoyment. For the Patel family, their business is sculpted by patience and sustained by commitment.

A die-hard Golden State Warriors fan (season ticket holder, 15 years running), Rupesh attends every game he can and finds time to play ball too. He is a car enthusiast and appreciates the uniqueness of rare classics as well as modern day supercars. You might spot him sharing food and wine, taking in the atmosphere of new bars and restaurants, cherishing the company of those he loves.
